Chadkirk Country Estate is owned by The Metropolitan Borough of Stockport and lies about 3 miles to the South-east of the Town centre. It is popular with the local community, and is an important visitor attraction for the residents of the borough and visitors to stockport.

The estate comprises a 60 acre (25 hectares) farm, with a cluster of farm buildings and chapel at its north-eastern corner. Adjacent to the chapel and farm is the walled garden.

Surrounding the farm on three sides there is ancient woodland, and on the south side is the river Goyt. The estate is situated on the Etherow/Goyt Valley way, a long distance footpath popular with walkers, and there is a circular 'Chadkirk trail' which follows the perimeter of the estate. The farm is run by a tenant farmer who keeps mixed livestock abd grows arable crops for animal fodder.
